CapX Partners (“CapX”), a Chicago-based venture capital firm, has appointed FAMU alumnus Peter W. Washington to the position of vice president. He was previously a senior associate in the company.
"Peter is ready to take on the next phase of his career," said Jeff Pfeffer, Managing Partner of CapX Partners. "CapX is excited to have someone with sound underwriting skills out in the market developing business."
Washington is a magna cum laude alumnus of FAMU's School of Business and Industry, from which he received a B.A. in Business Administration. He went on to earn his master of business administration with concentrations in accounting, finance, and strategy from the Chicago Booth School of Business. While studying there, he was a Robert Toigo Fellow.
CapX Partners, founded in 1999, is an equipment financing and secured mezzanine fund focusing on transaction sizes of $2 to $12 million for private equity and venture backed portfolio companies. CapX is investing out of its fourth fund, and favors manufacturing, distribution, service, technology, and healthcare service industries with an emphasis on revenue producing fixed assets.
