Lady Rattlers enter MEAC tournament at third seed

The Lady Rattlers are entering the tournament for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC)  in the third seed behind both Hampton and Howard.

The Howard Lady Bison and Lady Rattlers both finished the season with a 14-2 mark in MEAC play. Howard won the tiebreaker over FAMU based on the Bison's mid-February victory over the Rattlers  to secure the number two seed.

The Hampton Lady Pirates, reigning MEAC tournament champion, will enter the tournament as the top seed after concluding the regular-season with a 15-1 mark in conference play.

In men's basketball, Savannah State, which entered joined the conference just one year ago, earned the top seed after closing out the regular season with a 14-2 mark in MEAC play and an overall record of 21-10. The FAMU men enter the tournament at the 11th spot.
